Some history about Laughter Yoga...

25 YEARS AGO, 

DR. KATARIA AND HIS BEAUTIFUL SUPPORTIVE WIFE, MADHURI, 

PUT FORTH THIS WINDERFUL EXERCISE MODALITY WE KNOW AS LAUGHTER YOGA!

My life has changed so remarkably since I started practicing 

Laughter Yoga that I cannot contain my desire 

to share this resource for resilience with others!

Flooding our bodies with 

dopamine. oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins 

is essential to combat the stress hormones we create when we worry.

And as Dr. K says, don't wait to laugh out loud. 

Do it in the shower, while driving, when the bridge is up, 

with friends and family....

call me and I will laugh with you! 

Try to get those laughter muscles engaged for 20 minutes each day!! 

We will get thru this - especially if we practice LAUGHTER YOGA! πŸ€—

So, what the 'HA' is LAUGHTER YOGA anyway?

LAUGHTER YOGA is a little bit of PLAY mixed with LAUGHTER that provides you with an amazing AEROBIC workout.

Why LAUGH for the health of it?

If you would like to release physical and emotional tensions and experience a feeling of joyfulness, which can last for days, regardless of the negative influences around you...      

                     ...why not give LAUGHTER YOGA a try!?!

Everyone knows laughter is the best medicine...

but why???

For starters, Laughter decreases stress hormones,

increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies,  improving your resistance to disease.

Science has proven that the body cannot differentiate between simulated or real laughter and it doesn't matter if our laughter is a result of being entertained - or not!

LAUGHTER YOGA is the only technique that allows you to achieve sustained hearty laughter without involving cognitive thought so that you can produce enough of your own healing chemicals to benefit from.

Natural laughter is not enough to provide significant health benefits as it is conditional and comes for a few seconds here and there.

In order to get the scientifically proven benefits of laughter, one must laugh for 15 to 20 minutes and laughter should be hearty and loud and experienced on a regular basis.

LAUGHTER YOGA is an aerobic physical exercise,

not a mental process.

In the practice of Laughter Yoga,

laughter is initiated with laughter exercises.

Laughter WORKS!!! After 5-6 sessions I was feeling better; happier; more outgoing. But it's gradual; you don't even realize it - until you don't!
