So, what the 'HA' is LAUGHTER YOGA anyway?

LAUGHTER YOGA is a little bit of PLAY mixed with

LAUGHTER that provides you with an amazing AEROBIC workout with no actual yoga poses or mats involved! The Yogic part is the breath work we experience while laughing.

Why LAUGH for the health of it?

Everyone knows laughter is the best medicine ... but why???

The physical act of LAUGHTER floods our bodies with

dopamine. oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins

which are essential to combat

the stress hormones we create when we worry.

Science has proven that the body cannot differentiate between simulated or real laughter and it doesn't matter if our laughter is a result of being entertained - or not!

LAUGHTER YOGA is the only technique that allows you to achieve sustained hearty laughter without involving cognitive thought so that you can produce enough of your own healing chemicals to benefit from.

In order to get the scientifically proven benefits of laughter, one must laugh for 15 to 20 minutes and laughter should be hearty and loud and experienced on a regular basis.

There are four steps of Laughter Yoga:

25 YEARS AGO, IN 1995, DR. MADAN KATARIA AND HIS BEAUTIFUL SUPPORTIVE WIFE, MADHURI, PUT FORTH THIS WONDERFUL EXERCISE MODALITY WE KNOW AS LAUGHTER YOGA!

ON MAY 3RD, 2020, the 18th WORLD LAUGHER DAY was celebrated all over the world via ZOOM because of the current recommendations that we social distance.  The silver lining is that people from all over the world gathered in many different zoom rooms to share our universal language of laughter!  We will continue meeting this way until we can gather in person again.

Laughter WORKS!!! After 5-6 sessions I was feeling better; happier; more outgoing. But it's gradual; you don't even realize it - until you don't! After those sessions I went on a vacation for 2 months. Halfway through I was feeling not so light and cheery. I had missed my laughter. Got back into it, and I'm back to light and cheery!!!
